Am I wrong for not accepting this trade?

I am a fantasy baseball commissioner, and my baseball coach is in my league. He made a deal that if one of the kids does 100 pushups and gives up Gil Meche, he give the kid Tim Lince. This kid has already done the most ridiculous and unfair trades that I've accepted, and his team is getting stacked. He's in third place, and I felt this is over doing it because Gil Meche sucks. I'm going to drop him in my other league. I rejected this trade, and I asked another friend of mine that's a commissioner what he would do. He would not have accepted it either. Now the kid is walking around, calling me a little *****. Did I do the right thing? I mean I think this is a totally bs trade because Lince is one of the best pitchers, and pushups were the MAIN part of this trade.
