Can i give up my housing ociation home and claim hosing benafit for privatly rented accomidation?

i have a wherry housing ociation house im a single mum of 2 and i claim housing benafit for approx 3 years i want a bigger home am i able to find a private accomidation give uo my housing ociaton home and have benafits pay for a private home?
