Rental agreement related query?

I'm in the USA and know only about USA, but I'd be curious to know what the reason was that you were asked to vacate. Could it be that the home is in foreclosure? In that case you were being given notice for a good reason. Just move on. They are saying your lease is no longer good. You are free to move to another...you have been freed...so why stir the pot? Be thankful they didn't insist on the rest of the rent, and move on. This may be a blessing in disguise.
