With all the school and church shootings is anyone for reforming the gun control laws?

If a survey is carried out on whether to retain or ban the law on the right to own arms, i believe a good 75-90% of the populace will opt for retaining. And how about the gun ociations in the country -- they will fight hard to keep it. Most people will 'treasure' this right, but in reality such liberty or freedom is giving troubled and suicidal persons an easy way to gain so-called fame and the taking of too many innocent lives will continue. It will take a huge amount of effort and sacrifice to make three quarters of the country to realise that amending the Constitution is a great move to bring safety and security to their lives. Many questions on gun control had been posted in the past and most people, sadly, desired not to reform the gun control laws. A new thinking and philosophy need looking into before the nation's roads, schools, shopping malls, churches and any other crowded places become truly safe and no one walks around in abject fear.
